Sporting Directors’ Corner | Michael Emenalo’s Chelsea Curriculum
In this episode we focus on youth and curriculum by looking at the pioneering efforts of Michael Emenalo who was Chelsea's technical director between 2011 and 2017. We probe his success in keeping Chelsea a winning team whilst creating a new identity that was rooted in the academy and loan programme all with a desire on developing players to make them 1st team ready. We also look at the current situation at Chelsea under Todd Boehly's ownership to compare and contrast the sporting director role.
Join Shailash (COO of Get Football Group) and David (Chief Researcher at DirectorOfFootball.com) as they look back on a bygone era at Chelsea and weigh up the past vs the future in a constructive manner.
