Sporting Directors’ Corner | Talent Projection

Being able to project talent is a key part of a sporting director's role and some are better at it then others. Shailash and David discuss what "talent projection" is and look at directors who do it well. There is praise for Phil Giles who is the Director of Football at Brentford FC in the Premier League which lead onto a discussion on cognitive diversity in a football organisation. This is followed up with looking at the success of Giuseppe Marotta who is now Chairman at Inter but also doubles as Head of Recruitment at the Serie A giants. Beppe's longevity and talent projection record is second to none and we look at the attributes and characteristics that enabled his success. We end with naming a few more sporting directors to keep an eye with regards talent projection.
